Remote Chassis Inspection Locations - Updated 2/25/2014
In cooperation with our member tracks, we have arranged for NHRA SFI Chassis Inspectors to conduct a number of remote inspection sites throughout the North Central Division. These remote sites are provided as a convenience for racers in need of having their race car chassis inspected/certified. More locations and dates will be added to this list so check back often.
Inspections will continue to be provided during NHRA events throughout the year, through the Division office and with inspectors making individual “house calls”.
Any car running 9.99-seconds (6.39 1/8-mile) or quicker in the quarter-mile is required to have the chassis inspected and an NHRA/SFI certification sticker affixed. All sportsman certification tags are valid for 3-years from the date of inspection; pro certification tags are valid for 1-year from the date of inspection.
Sportsman inspection stickers are $150; Pro inspection stickers are $225. No additional inspector service or travel fee is charged for inspections completed at designated remote inspection sites or NHRA events.
Most remote inspections are conducted on an appointment basis which helps alleviate waiting and congestion. Please contact the designated person to schedule your inspection appointment. Additional sites will be added, so check back on this list which will be updated on our website www.nhradiv3.com in our TECH INFO section.
Thank you to all that came out for the Midlife Crisis show. They will be back to celebrate the spring season, Saturday April 19th, at OutPost.
Between plowing snow and fighting the cold weather, we have been able to put several things on the calendar as we continue to formulate the 2014 racing schedule. All dates mentioned are very solid, however they remain tentative, and subject to change. There are a few events we are still negotiating, and will be added at a later date. March 22 will kick off the season with a pre-season test and tune day. Please pay attention to the weather, and our website, including facebook, in the event that we have good weather the week prior, March 15, we may run a pre-pre-season test and tune, it has worked the last few years to our advantage. March 29 will be our season opening race, and the first Summit Series and Bunker Hill Dragstrip Championship points scoring event. Saturday May 24 will be the Cornfed Diesel Drags, Truck and Tractor Pull, Memorial Day weekend event. Two weeks later, Saturday June 7, the Olson Paint and Body Wheelstand Contest will hit the track. The Moville Groundshakers all motorcycle race will return to a one day only event this year, Sunday June 15. Saturday July 26 the Road Kings will have the track with their cruise in and car club event, including timed runs from 10:30 am until 5pm, followed by a 50's-60's rock band at OutPost, starting at 7. Make plans for the Summer Sizzle either the first or second weekend of August, that date is still fluid. Saturday August 16, will bring us Cornfed Diesel Drags, Truck and Tractor Pull number 2. August 23 will be our Summit Series final point scoring event for the finals team composition. September 6, will be our National Dragster Challenge event. The following weekend, September 12-14 will be the Summit Series E.T. Finals at Clermont, In. Saturday September 27 is tentatively going to be our race of champions event, pending confirmation from our primary sponsor, details pending. October 4th & 5th will be our 17th Annual Hoosier Bracket Challenge. These are some of the dates that we have put together, more are pending, stay tuned.
